Pastor Gaylon P. Foreman is a native of Fort Worth, Texas. He was the founder of Berea Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas and served as Pastor until October, 1980. In May of 1990, he was called to Pastor Carver Park Baptist Church and has faithfully served since that time.
He currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Master of Education in Counseling, Master in Biblical Studies, and Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Counseling. He is not only a Pastor, but also an inspired writer. He is the author of the books, “No More Bad Days” and “Lessons Learned After Dark”. Pastor Foreman is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Faternity, Incorporated.
Since his tenure as Pastor of Carver Park Baptist Church, membership has grown spiritually as well as numerically. Several ministries have been established, as well as, the construction of a new church edifice. Through his leadership as he follows God, Carver has established a motto to live by, “The Rest Of Your Days Are The Best Of Your Days ”.
God has blessed Pastor Foreman with vision and the opportunity to spread the gospel from Waco to Georgia to Australia and to the world. In 1996, while serving as Director of Inner-City Ministry, he traveled to the Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia with an evangelistic team. In September of 2000, he was blessed to be part of an evangelistic team spreading the gospel at the Olympics in Australia. In July of 2012, he was selected by Lay Witnesses for Christ International to serve as International Pastoral Chairman during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London England.
Cornell A. Butler is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and served in the United States Army for 8 years. His Christian walk of faith began at Galilee Baptist Church in New Orleans, La. in February of 1993. Relocating his fellowship to The Third Rose of Sharon B.C. in 1995 he was appointed Ministry Director for the Brothers Keepers Ministry which fed the community both physically and spiritually.
In December of 1995 he became a deacon and later heard God's calling to preach the gospel. This later led to his ordination in April 1998 which was under the Ideal Missionary Baptist and Education Association.
Cornell currently holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He relocated to Waco, Texas with his wife Jackie M. Butler because of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He also holds a Master of Theological Studies degree from George W. Truett Seminary, Baylor University 2009.
Cornell is a faithful member of Carver Park Baptist Church where he assists the senior Pastor and Teacher Dr. Gaylon P. Foreman. Cornell is also the Director of Protocol and Ministerial Alliance leader at Carver Park Baptist Church and has been elected to the position of Leadership Enlistment for the Administrative Ministry Team Subcommittees of the Waco Regional Baptist Association.
William Hutchison is a native of Waco, Texas. He has served as a member of Carver Park Baptist Church since February of 2006. He is currently serving and assisting our Sr. Pastor Dr. Gaylor P. Foreman in any capacity of the church he is asked to do so. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration and Management. His wife is the lovely Margaret L. Hutchison of 38 years and they have three children, Cynthia, Nathan, WilliamII and a grandson, Da Jarvis.
